April and May in Venice


In the months of April and May Venice delights us with a rich calendar of temporary exhibitions both in the Civic Museums and in private collections and foundations. 
Not to be missed Spring at Palazzo Fortuny with two exhibitions that can be visited until July 23rd: An Italian Collection. Works from the Merlini collection and the Zurich Room. Homage to Zoran Mušic. Find the Exhibitions programme 2018 in the Civic Museums of Venice (download the pdf)

The exhibition “A furnace in Marseille” in instead dedicated to the Cirva / International Center of Research on Glass and the Plastic Arts of Marseilles and will be displayed in two venues, Le Stanze del Vetro on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore until July 29th (ask for the educational activities) and the Fondazione Querini Stampalia (until June 24, 2018), with a total of 17 artists exhibiting. 

The Querini Stampalia Foundation proposes “Bellini / Mantegna Two Masterpieces Compared”,until July1st: a very interesting comparison of the two “Presentation of Jesus at the Temple” exceptionally hanging beside one another in this exhibition. (guided tours)

The 16th International Architecture Exhibition, titled this year FREESPACE,  will take place from May 26th to November 25th 2018, as usual in the Giardini and Arsenale venues, and in other locations in Venice. 12 Collateral Events at the “Biennale Architettura”, among others: The Happenstance, a Freespace in the garden in the center of Palazzo Zenobio: a unique opportunity to visit the Armenian College Moorat  - Raphael and its wonderful garden.
